Diese Maschinen standen im Ortskern in der ehemaligen Kornbrennerei und Hefefabrik.
Der Betrieb wurde 1976 zum "Mettinger Bruch" hin ausgelagert.
Die 200 PS starke Dampfmaschine, Baujahr 1948, trieb über eine Pleuelstange den Kompressor an, der pro Stunde bis zu 12.000 cbm Druckluft erzeugen konnte.
Diese Druckluft reichte aus, um Hefekulturen mit dem nötigen Sauerstoff zu versorgen.
Die kleine Doppelkolbenpumpe speiste einen von zwei mit Kohle betriebenen Dampfkesseln mit frischem Speisewasser.
Im Hintergrund steht eine Brennsäule aus der Zeit um die Jahrhundertwende.
Sie diente bis 1976 der Destillation von Kornbranntwein

These machines were at the center of the former distillery and yeast factory.
