When the Strekov precinct municipal hall of Ústí nad Labem started revitalisation of Malé Sedlo Hill in 2003, the tourist outlook tower under the working name "Strekovský Petrín" was included in the project.
The viewing tower was built during autumn 2009 on the site of the former air-traffic observation point.
