McHenry Funeral Home began in 1945 as Keeney Funeral home, run out of a converted house at the corner of Jackson and 5th street in Corvallis. After World War II, Joe McHenry and a partner, Frank Warner, purchased the company. In 1959, the business moved to its current location and through various additions, the building now contains nearly 6,000 square feet of space. Joe's son Jay took over the business in the late 1980s, owning it until his retirement in 2012. The business continues under the leadership of owner Kevin Precht, whose purchased the company and also comes from a family with several generations of funeral service experience.
