About Czech Central Mountains
Czech Central Mountains is picturesque mountains of the volcanic origin is situated in the middle of the European continent, in the northern part of the Czech republic. The area of this range is more than 1000 km2. The highest mountain is "Milesovka" with 836 m above the sea level. There are many hills typically volcano shaped. Their unique appearance is attracting naturalists, painters, poets and all nature-lovers. You can see there besides unforgettable landscape sceneries also many natural unique places, debris flows, rare flowers, animals, and a lot of sights.

About Skalka Castle
The two feudal estates situated at the top above Vlastislav village near Lovosice appear to be one complex. But the impression is misleading. Skalka Castle is perched at the top of a rock, that most certainly gave name to the castle, is much older than the neighbouring chateau; the remains of the castle lookout tower is still proudly surveying the local countryside.
