A 2.33' high by 21" by 17" bronze sculpture of a small child is seated on top is in the center of a 5' high by 2' diameter circular granite base that is in the center of a 25' diameter recessed basin which is surrounded by about ten circular courses of bricks. The sculpture was created by Mary E. Moore and installed in the Boston Public Garden in 1929.
A small nude boy is straddling a rock outcrop in the center of a small granite basin. His arms are held at mid-chest level as he looks down at water bubbling up from the rock in front of him. The water flows into the small basin and overflows into the large circular basin at ground level below.
