The Teapot was built in 1922 and was originally a gas station. It was moved in 1978 to 14691 Yakima Valley Highway to accommodate building Highway 82. It was moved to its present location in 2012, to be more accessible and to serve as a visitor info centre. Reproduction gas pumps were added.
