This piece of equipment was pulled by a tractor because a lot of power was required to to the job. The blade at the front was adjusted to cut into the earth below the depth of the deepest potatoes. The dirt were pushed onto the conveyor built of horizontal rods. The conveyor shook the dirt from the potatoes which were then deposited on top of the ground at the rear of the machine.
