Rossland has a nice new firehouse, large enough to house their Freightliner-Hub pumper, Freightliner-LaFrance Tanker, International-Hub Pumper and, especially, their vintage 1938/39 Ford Pumper. Beside the equipment garage is a lot of office space, seemingly more than they could ever use.
The fire department is entirely staffed by volunteers, with the present roster containing 15 names (and they are actively seeking new blood). Yesterday was the morning of the Rossland Fall Fair Pancake Breakfast, which was held in the firehouse. We were able to peruse the inside, and I would say that they are well equipped, with all the necessary firefighting bells and whistles.
