Sweet's Chocolates, and many other types of candy is still "Made in Salt Lake" and "Sold from Alaska to Australia". It may even be sold in Zanzibar or Zambia also.

Staff at the Sweet's factory explained that these advertisements were painted in various locations throughout Utah by out-of-work painters during the Great Depression, who traded their labor for candy for their families. The paint was evidently of such high quality that you actually have to knock some of the face of the brick off to cause any apparent damage to the signs. Many identical signs can still be found in the small towns around Utah.
