This and other Korean War memorials are important to me because I had a mentor from church that fought in Korea. He shared with me once how many Korean War vets feel underappreciated and often forgotten. So any time I run across a Korean War Memorial, I am reminded of my friend Bill and all others that fought for our freedoms in Korea!
