Originally located at 295 Summer Street, this Foursqure/Colonial Revival house was moved during construction of the Oregon State Library. It was relocated to 735 Capitol Street but had to be moved again during the northward expansion of the Capitol Mall during the late 1980s and 1990s.

The house was built by the parents of Hallie Parrish Hinges, a noted local musician. When it was moved to the 700 block of Summer Street it was owned by Samuel and Sara Kimball.
