Collins Beach is a sandy bar on Sauvie's Island. It is a "clothing optional" beach, attracting many visitors from Portland who are quite happy to partake of the option.
I was on Sauvie's Island over Labor Day weekend and it was very crowded, lots of hikers, bikers, lolly-gaggers, folks visiting the produce stands, and we noticed the sign for the "Clothing Optional" beach, with dozens and dozens of cars lining the road, and fully clothed individuals and children hauling their picnic coolers, blankets and chairs down to the beach, so I hopped out of the car to take a few photos, so I could waymark my first "Nude Beach". Well, I was still shocked to see all the skin. I can attest, this is definitely a well-attended NUDE beach.
