Hugh McConnell, a miller from Scotland, built this stone wind mill in 1825. It is likely that this millstone is from McConnell's wind mill. However, because his wind mill was used as a mill for a relatively short period of time, the millstone may have originated elsewhere. As for the patterning on the stone, the six furrows in each of the nine harps are easy to see.
