Originally built as a school for Dudley in 1840, the town folks voted to add a second floor to the structure to be used as a lyceum or meeting place. The meeting place was called Washington Hall. The Dudley Grange was chartered in 1888. The Grange Hall Association bought the building in 1892 for $1,100.
