Zippy has been to the Astro motel before, but generally only featured the sign in one pane. This strip features the whole motel in each pane. The Astro Motel features Googie architecture, which is probably Zippy's attraction to it.
In this strip Zippy proclaims his belief that the landing of men on the moon was a hoax, but he does believe Moon Men landed on the Earth long ago! As Zippy says in the final pane, "How else can you explain Judge Judy, Howie Mandel or Dr. Phil?"
