Located at the tank workshop of the Royal Netherlands Army is this Centurion mk.5/2 tank with vehicle registrationnumber KX-13-57.
The Royal Netherlands took delivery of 592 Centurions with vehicle registrationnumbers KX-10-01 - KX-15-92. The first arrived on January the 12th, 1953 in the Netherlands and the from 1983 on they were replaced by the Leopard 1 and / or Leopard 2. Although this one is painted in the standard RAL 6014 army green, there was one tank battalion (101st Tank battalion) which had Centurions painted in a 3-colour camouflage scheme.
Location restrictions: Located at an active army installation, access is prohibited. The vehicle is visible from the main gate of the base.
