This is a newer and at first, a spartan water tower. Originally it had the appeal of a military installation, but recently it was painted. At first it did not show up on Google Earth as it was recently constructed, but as of 2013, it is present.

The closest you can get to this is the ShopRite parking lot. There is a gate which prevents entrance to the dirt road which leads about a few hundred feet to the water tank. The tank represents the latest municipal efforts in upgrading the local water supply for the surrounding three municipalities.
This water tank is the result of the efforts of the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission which is a bit odd since it is located in Cherry Hill. Given the current economic climate and the talk of consolidating services and possibly towns with regards to Cherry Hill & Merchantville, I suppose it makes perfect sense. The project is dubbed (according to the sign at the entrance of the road which leads to the tank) Cherry Hill 1,000,000 Gallon Water Storage Tank. The Engineers used on the project was a local company operating out of Haddonfield for over 100 years called 
Remmington & Vernick.
