This restored one teacher,one classroom served the black community. Built in 1921 with funds from the Rosenwald Foundation. Building is 20' X 32'. It has one large classroom and a smaller "industrial room" for teaching home economics to the girls and farm work for the boys. One third of cost was raised by the "colored people" of the area. Julius Rosenwald was CEO of Sears Roebuck Co. and provided funds to bring schools to the black population. Located 4.5 miles southwest of Warrenton,NC on Hwy 58. Now vacant.School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
