The webcam is a single one on the north side of Highway 7, mounted on the first light standard west of Highway 9, looking east.

Highway 7 is also known as the Lougheed Highway, named after Nelson Seymour Lougheed, MLA for the Dewdney District and the BC Minister of Public Works (1928–29) who ran a logging company in the area.

Heading inland from the coast on a summer weekend, Highway 7 is a nice alternative to the Trans Canada. It runs up the Fraser Valley to Hope on the opposite side of the river, passing through more rural country than does Highway One. It's a great alternate, allowing one to see some different scenery for a change, and to even take one's time about it if one should so choose. After passing through Mission, Highway 7 affords mostly pastoral scenery until it meets the Trans Canada at Hope.

This webcam updates every 2 minutes. BC Highway webcams are owned and operated by the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. They are accessible online at DriveBC.
