A 5' high by 2.5' wide polished black granite monument with a rounded top honors the veterans of the Korean War. The monument stands on a 1' high gray granite base. It has a laser etched map of Korea with the location of the cities of Chongjin, Hamhung, Seoul, Inchon, and Pusan marked on the map as well as the truce line. The 42nd parallel is shown dividing the peninsula with the date 25 June 1950 on the west part of the line and 27 July 1953 on the east side of the line.
The monument is inscribed in gold capital letters:
