A bronze bell that once was used by the Christ Congregational Church was donated to the town of East Haven on the nation's bicentennial.
The bell was cast by G.H. Holbrock in Medway, MA in the 1840's and installed in the park in 1976.
The bell is hanging from a yoke set on a 6' square cement platform behind an iron fence. A pair of bronze plaques at the top of the yoke are inscribed:
