This station is a National Ocean Survey disk, a Tidal Station, located in Long Beach Township (LBI). It is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Jeanette Street (78th St). It is positioned in the sidewalk in front of a sign and under a tethered park bench.

The NGS description below is adequate, with the following changes:

> Some work has taken place to the sidewalk, so the disk is now projecting approximately 2.54 cm above the surface. It is in plain sight, no movement of signposts are necessary. Please note that there may be a (tethered) park bench positioned over the mark, you will need to move the bench aside to view the mark.*

Benchmarking on LBI can be challenging in peak season due to traffic and parking limitations, if you choose to use a vehicle. Park strategically and fan out on foot or bike to get the best results. Benchmarking off season is best. Also, benchmarking post-Sandy might make your searches a bit more challenging! Good luck, and happy benchmarking!

This mark is also loggable on Geocaching. Please consider logging your visit on both sites. Thank you.
