This Truss Bridge carries the trail to the Tongue River Cave across the Tongue River about 1/4 mile southwest of the Tongue Canyon Campground and the end of the unpaved Tongue Canyon Road.

This truss bridge was built by the CCC in 1934 to give hikers access to a rather nondescript cave high on a mountainside on the opposite side of the Tongue River from the nearest road. The trail to the cave varies from earth with embedded rock to some sections of solid rock only
