This city hall is for Boonville, IN. It is located at the corner of 2nd St and Locust St (Hwy 61) on the west side of town.
The building is an older building, but not extremely old, maybe dating to the 1960s or 1970s. There does not seem to be history that revolves around the building itself.
The town itself does have some history, however. The town is believed to be the town that taught Abraham Lincoln about law. He lived several miles out of the city when his family moved to Indiana and would walk to town to listen to lawyer John Brackenridge in court hearings. The town was also named after pioneer Daniel Boone.
Boonville is a city of a little over 6,000 people and is considered to be in the Evansville, IN metro area.
