The Danube River is the longest river in Europe. It need 2480 kilometers to its destination in the Black Sea.
The origin is covered by a round basin made of stone. It has been created in 1885. This was paid by Fürst Karl Eugen III, who lived in the nearby castle.
The water of the Danube River runs directly through a canal into the nearby Brigach River which confluences with the Breg River.
But this well is offically declaired as the origin of the Danube River!
