The Bott School was built in 1903. It one several country schools in Audrain County during its era. After school consolidation these schools closed. The school was moved to the Audrain County Historical Museum grounds and dedicated in 1989. The school building was restored and furnished as it would have been when it was in operation and is one of the museums many displays.
