This Truss Bridge carries mainline railroad trackage across the Mojave River at Afton Canyon on its run between Barstow and Las Vegas.

This bridge is comprised of two main Truss spans and a minor through-girder approach span on the west end. The bridge is located next to a fairly remote campground alongside the Mojave River and there is plenty of parking just about anywhere to take photographs or watch the trains go by. One note of caution: It gets hotter than blue blazes out here during the summer months!
