This campground is located on the banks of the Mojave River and there is usually some water along this stretch, even during the hot summer months. This campground sees most of it activity during cooler months because this part of the Mojave Desert is like a furnace during the summer. The facilities are very nice with shelters over the picnic table at most campsites and two double vault toilets can usually handle the usual requirements in that area. It is an ideal location for train buffs since mainline tracks cross the river adjacent to the campground.
