On October 12th, 2012 Endeavor made it's trek to the California Science Center. Below are photos of the Space Shuttle at the famous Randy's Donuts getting ready for the Toyota Tundra Truck to pull is across Interstate 405. This was due to the fact that the vehicle transporting the Shuttle weighed over of what the bridge was rated for. The truck pulled the shuttle as it was a much lighter solution. The Toyota Tundra Commercial can be found by clicking here. My personal videos of that night can be found by watching this of part 1 then part 2. Be sure to click the link at the end of the video to see part 2 and a better close up of the shuttle itself.

Getting ready for a tow.

Space shuttle Endeavor made many scientific discoveries and had numerous historical events. The last flight was on STS -134 and the last space shuttle flight was by Atlantis on STS-135. You do have to pay an additional fee on top of your admission ticket, but it is well worth it. This exhibit gets filled up fast, so make sure to get your tickets ahead of time. It's first flight was on STS-49. It served as a replacement shuttle for Challenger as that one exploded. I docked with Spacelab, ISS, and Hubble. It was the shuttle that made Hubble a huge success, and not a failure. Endeavor had 25 missions in space. It spent almost 300 days in space. Although it is the newest shuttle to be built, it was the last one to be moved to its display location. For detailed information see Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Shuttle_Endeavor
