This aircraft was originally built for the US Air Force as an F-101B-90-MC with the serial number 57-354. It served at one point in its USAF career with the 444th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron at Charleston AFB in South Carolina. As part of Operation Peace Wings, this aircraft and 65 others were transferred to the Canadian Forces to replace 56 other CF-101s that had been acquired in the 1960s. It joined the Canadian Forces on July 28, 1971 as tail number 101030 with 409 All Weather Fighter Squadron at CFB Comox. It also served at some point during its career with 425 All Weather Fighter Squadron at CFB Bagotville, Quebec. It became Instructional Airframe 827B on July 11, 1984 and was later struck off on May 15, 1990.
