Inscription on the brass tablet reads -
"This Tablet and the East Window are dedicated
To the Glory of god and in memory of
the following Stainborough men who
gave their lives in the Great War
1914-1919"
there follows a list of names
with a depiction of the Yorkshire Rose
with two crossed feathers behind it.
Below this is inscribed
"Their name liveth for evermore"
This memorial tablet was originally in a church in Stainborough, and the east window refered to in the text is in that church and boarded up.The WW2 panel listed above was also from there.
Tablet is not listed in the UK National Inventory of War memorials.
