St Luke's church was designed by noted architect John Horbury Hunt (1838-1904). Hunt was a Canadian who, when on his way to live in India, was persuaded by colonial architect James Barnett to settle in Sydney instead. Hunt was renowned for ecclesiastical buildings many of which were constructed in rural New South Wales including St. Luke's in 1882.
The bell tower is still operational & the bells are rung, particularly as part of wedding ceremonies.
