There are eight visible graves in this churchyard plus two modern columbaria for a total of 132 inscriptions.
Of great interest is the grave of John Gowen, a corporal of marines on HMS Sirius, flagship of the First Fleet which arrived in Sydney Cove on 26 January 1788. He died on 28 April 1837 aged 74. The inscription has long faded but a steel plaque on the grave, now fading itself, gives the details.
The inscription on John Gowen's grave read: Strangers, friends as here you see the sad truth of mortality. Let each one ask himself am I prepared should I be called to die.
The church has no sign that I could find however there is a memorial gate which has the words Christ Church.
Name of church or churchyard: Christ Church
