The large stone shelter was constructed between 1934 and 1936 when the area was a federal recreation demonstration area. The area was transferred to the state of Missouri in 1946 and became Cuivre River State Park. The shelter is in very good condition and continues to serve its original purpose.
Visit Instructions:
Logs must include picture of person with GPS'r in hand with the waymark and log of experience and any additional things learned about the waymark.
