One-story wooden sided building that also houses the Police department and a branch of the Shasta County Superior Court. Weed was originally a company town, but became a city in 1961. In the 1940's Weed was said to have the world's largest sawmill. Today most of the lumber are long gone. Progress has been made in bringing in tourist dollars and revitalization efforts are helping attract people to Weed. There is an interesting history museum, and the old company store has become a home for a number of enterprises.
