The ferries on Lake Maggiore are operated by the Italian company Navigazione Lago Maggiore NLM. There are several different local connections in the Swiss part of the lake, as well as some long distance connections crossing the border to Italy.
The landing of Ascona is located in the center of the lake promenade. The landing has only a ticket corner, rest rooms and a payphone, but almost all the houses at the promenade are restaurants or tourist shops, so there is nothing to miss.
