The Alvaro de Lugo Post Office is located on 41-42 Norre Gade in Charlotte Amalie, the main post office in the capital of the Unites States Virgin Islands.

The main post office on the island of St. Thomas is a handsome two story stucco structure which is painted yellow with white trim and teal colored shutters and is located in the heart of the busy downtown area of Charlotte Amalie. The building was erected in 1935 during the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Postmaster General James A. Farley.
In 1994 Congress passed a resolution to name the building the Alvaro de Lugo Post Office. According to the congressional record:
"Mr. de Lugo was a former Postmaster General of the Virgin Islands and served on the police and fire commission. His dedication to the community is further illustrated through his works as an acting postmaster at Charlotte Amalie and chairman of the land authority."
Many tourists and locals visit this post office which is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to noon. The highlight of the interior are a pair of Virgin Island themed murals painted by Stephen Dohanos in 1941.
