On the highway, as it approaches the western edge of the city, is the two-story,yellow-brick FIELD HOUSE (R), which serves Poplar Bluff as high school gymnasium, civic auditorium, and recreational center. Adjacent is a modern concrete stadium. - Missouri: A Guide to the "Show Me" State, Tour 6, pg. 428.
The Field House or gymnasium are still present, the school is now Poplar Bluff Junior High School. The stadium mentioned is also present and is the stadium used for high school sports. The stadium is now called the Fred M. Morrow Stadium and is the Home of the Mules. The Mule is the mascot for the high school. Both the field house and stadium appear to be in good condition.
