The bridge would be several hundred metres in length to allow for flooding & access to rural properties. There are two lines & each is supported by girders which sit on brick pylons. The bridge skirts Railway Parade & you can walk or drive under it.
The line itself is used by passenger & freight trains, with the latter connecting Brisbane in Queensland to Melbourne in Victoria. As if on queue a Pacific National freight train being pulled by four 93 class locos passed over the bridge & a few minutes later, a two car passenger rail motor.
Bridge Type: Girder
Bridge Usage: Railroad
Moving Bridge: This bridge is static (has no moving pieces)
