Built around 1870 for John Scott, this home is 2 1/2 stories on a rock faced granite foundation. Principal features include a porch with a circular pavilion and bracketed cornice, bay windows, bracketed window caps and a mansard roof.

John Scott was a local textile manufacturer. The company he owned manufactured cassimeres, which continued operation into the 20th century. He also manufactured wool cloth.
