The very large logo announcing the arboretum as a Bicentennial project is fixed in the ground, similar to a floral clock. It can't be missed as you exist SH 7 into Duncan.
Because the park was a Bicentennial project, besides the trees, it contains a time capsule which is to be opened on America's Tricentennial. The park also contains a small plaque with the Declaration of Independence. Various donors are also listed on the plaque.
Because the park is now almost 40-years-old, the trees are quite mature which makes for a very shady walk. There is a very nice path to follow. All is quite clean and all the trees have nice wooden signs.
Address or General Location of Marker: intersection of US 81 & SH 7 at S end of Duncan; entrance is off of W. Bois D'Arc Ave.
