STW-9 was the second commercial television station in Perth and commenced broadcasting on 12 June 1965 On 17 April 1984 it became the first station in Perth to broadcast 24 hours a day. STW 9 was an indepenant station until joining the National Nine Network, it broadcasts outside the metro area as WIN
