This memorial is dedicated to the men from the Portland Canal District who died in World Wars I and II. It is located in a small park in downtown Stewart. The memorial consists of a large boulder with two flagpoles behind it. One flagpole bears the Canadian flag. The other did not have a flag on it. On the boulder are three plaques: two were placed in memory of local men who died during World War I and one placed in memory of those who died during World War II.
The top plaque is circular and reads:

Description of Memorial: The memorial is located within the Estuary Boardwalk Park, which is located along the main commercial street through Stewart. It's a lovely little park for a boardwalk stroll or a picnic.
