West of the major intersection of State Highway 41 and County Road 64 there is a Walmart Superstore, several national chain restaurants, and a Fairfield Inn hotel on one side of CR 64 (AKA: West Broadway). On the east end of the Walmart parking lot, near the Taco Bell restaurant is large field. In the field, close to the edge of the parking lot is a tall outdoor warning siren. I have been visiting this area for ten years now and stay in the hotel next to the west end of the Walmart parking lot. I have been fortunate to always visit when no severe weather necessitated the siren to sound. Therefore, I have never heard it. It does not sound off at noon on any day of the week. The horn of the siren is facing westward, toward the shopping area and the farm lands beyond.
