This church is one of the most simple and beautiful churches you could wish to see. It still has the old choir gallery and box pews.
The church is locked but you can ring the number on the board to gain access
From the website....
As the only public building in Dunton, St. Martin's plays an important role as a centre for much village social life. Being such a small village, there are only around 10 services a year, but most of these include something "special": whether it's an Easter Egg Hunt, produce auction, exhibition, or food and wine. Our candlelit Christmas Eve Carol Service fills the church with a congregation drawn from miles around. The church itself - 900 years old in 2010 - is highly distinctive, with a West gallery and original Georgian box pews.
