From the intersection of Highways 41/240 (Santa Fe Trail) on the northwest side of Marshall, travel 7.2 miles north to Highway 122. Turn West on 122 (road curves north) and travel 4.0 miles to the farm of John and Jan VanMeter-Stapleton at 31708, on the east side of the road. The VanMeter farm is located on the southeast edge of the large Van Meter State Park.

This quilt pattern, called Indian Maize, is a symmetrical block consisting of triangles and squares, using oranges and turquoise.
