The border monument is located adjacent to the historic Storehouse No. 4 (Alaska's first masonry building). There is ample room to pull a vehicle over adjacent to the old storehouse. United States is inscribed on one side of the monument, and Canada is inscribed on the other side. At the base of the monument is a Geodetic Survey of Canada Benchmark even though the monument is located within the USA. Also at the base of the monument is a U.S. Geological Survey Gravity Station disk.
