First Lutheran is arguably the most imposing church in the small rural northern California community of Orland. It's sanctuary walls are lined with stained glass windows, with a huge stained glass window next to the front entrance.
It has a large bell tower that dominates not only the church but the surrounding area. Square in cross section and massive in appearance, the shuttered openings at the top are just below a cross.
