Four Georgia limestone columns were at the front of Popular Bluff's first federally owned post office built in 1914. The Greek Revival styled building served as the post office from 1914 to 1967 and stood at 122 South Broadway. The building we demolished in 1975. The columns were erected on the grounds of the Poplar Bluff Museum in 1995.

The fluted columns have relatively plain bases and Doric capitals. Along with the columns the cornerstone of the former post office has been preserved at the site.
Type of Column: Doric
