The SNRAS Barn - University of Alaska Fairbanks, College AK - Barns on Waymarking.com

Note 1: It is confusing but the University of Alaska Fairbanks actually is located in the town of College, AK. College is a small burg separating UAF from Fairbanks.
Note 2: The coordinates will get you to the public parking area to visit this faciility.

The SNRAS barn is used to house their livestock, feed and various lab equipment for the study of the Reindeer herd they are currently studying. It is located on the The Fairbanks Experiment Farm.

Here is a little history on this location:
•1906: Established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as an Agricultural Experiment Station to conduct research and promote agriculture in Interior Alaska
•1922: University of Alaska opened on a site adjacent to the USDA Experiment Station
•1931: USDA Experiment Station was transferred to the University of Alaska for use as an agricultural experiment station comparable to those at other land-grant universities
